i thought it was very funny and sad at the same time. It showed strength and beauty in characters going through life in difficult times.

I hate to use an overused expression, but this film is what it is - an overly sentimental chick flick which I loved! Yes, I cried and laughed and cried some more and enjoyed every minute of it. I didn't expect more than that, and I was not disappointed.

Absolutely loved this film. The cast is amazing and beautiful.

Entertaining love story, that will make you cry.

A film that I could and would watch over again.

Good - P.S. I Love You (2007) *** 126 min. starring Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler (300), Kathy Bates, and Harry Connick Jr. – The film opens up with Swank and Butler in a heated argument about having children. What struck me in this scene is how fluid their acting is – I compared them to dancers who rely on their body movements to entertain. Actors use their magnificent power of speech and expression to entertain and move an audience. The first half of the film is charming and funny despite the morbidity of the subject matter. I just wished that same whit and freshness of character continued for the rest of the picture. By the last half hour, the film became a love story; nothing more. I did like this film for its entertainment factor; unfortunately, this would NEVER happen in real life – it would be too cruel. The supporting characters are aces – Lisa Kudrow (of Friends) is amazing; Harry Connick Jr. is a real charmer in this film and fun to watch. I haven’t given the plot away because I personally think that it would take the magic away from viewing the film without any knowledge, thereof.
