Quotes
“I wanted to keep you perfectly safe,” said Silas. “But there is only one perfectly safe place for your kind and you will not reach it until all your adventures are over and none of them matter any longer.”
“At the best of times his face was unreadable. Now his face was a book written in a language long forgotten, in an alphabet unimagined. Silas wrapped the shadows around him like a blanket, and stared after the way the boy had gone, and did not move to follow.”

Nobody does ghosts qute like Gaiman. Read this. Immediately. Life is short.
A very satisfying escape from reality.
Immensely enjoyable. An original concept, and Gaiman runs with it.
listened to the recorded book and it was delightful!
This book was amazing. I am a big fan of Neil Gaiman and I liked of how he took the concept of ghosts raising living children into act. Also I enjoyed how he showed that once somebody puts there mind to something they will never stop trying to achieve there goal no matter if it is an act of good or evil.
An interesting idea for a plot - a child is raised by ghosts in a graveyard. A quick but fascinating read that adults will enjoy too.
This was extremely original, and a very different type of story. I was surprised at how good it was.
Nobody Owens, orphaned when his family is murdered, finds his way to a graveyard where he is raised by well meaning ghosts and spirits. But, the murderer is still looking for him...very well drawn characters and an enjoyable read for those who like spooky books that aren't too scary.
