A wonderful story. It was published as a book in 1970 "with little advertising or expectation", and by 1972 over a million copies were in print...."having reached the number one spot on bestseller lists mostly through word-of-mouth…

I have a really interesting history with this book. My parents had a copy, as did all of their friends, as did everyone I babysat for. It was THE book of that era, chatted about at dinner parties and touted as some sort of deep and…

Such a patient, simple-complex, and understanding book! A great mystic parable. It ends up fusing ideas from Christianity and Buddhism and a vaguely secular outlook. Though short, it packs a punch!

I happened to catch author Richard Bach on a talk show. He was an interesting guest, and I was sparked to read his book. It's a short book you can read standing up, was hugely popular when it came out in the 70's, and withstands as a…

An allegory. A seagull learns how to fly well beyond what others can do and passes on his knowledge to a disciple. It represents the phases of Christ's life on earth. A slim book that everyone should read.

An immensely sweet book, it will touch the hearts of all animal lovers - and even those who aren't. The story about being different is one all can relate to.
