As for the claims it is incomplete, I do not understand them. The container says 130 minutes. Each version, colorized, black and white, is 130 minutes long. The IMDB gives that length. This review is for the DVDs. If SPL is blending Hoopla…

Beware!! This is NOT the complete movie. At least 30 minutes have been cut out of the end of the movie. Don't start watching unless you like incomplete movies

This is an abridged version which cuts out an integral section of the film rendering it pointless. I cannot believe this version exists.

The film that starts the holiday season, Hoopla has had the gall to butcher! I was shocked and appalled. The entire premise of the movie; it’s central message, has been removed! The redemption George finds, when he understands that his…

This is appalling!! Hoopla cut out the critical part of the entire movie, from just after Clarence saving George to when George is running around town yelling Merry Christmas! Gone! Unbelievable!!

The quintessential Frank Capra film and a heartwarming holiday treat year in and year out, "Life" is the ultimate optimistic statement on the value of love, life, and community. Capra's masterful handling of the bittersweet story line--in…

Frank Capra's sometimes dark post-war film, "It's a Wonderful Life" was released in 1946. It was intended to be released in 1947, but when a Technicolor print of "Sinbad" couldn't be delivered on time, this film was put into release. For…

This the greatest Christmas movie of all time per se. Others can say otherwise.

SENTIMENTAL HOGWASH about a guy who gets to see that he is all that prevented his home town from turning into a Back-to-the-Future style hellhole. For a long time back in the 70s the film had fallen into the public domain, so it was often…

A family Xmas staple feel good comedy movie

Maybe the warmest and fuzziest of Christmas movies. A movie about a good man trying to find purpose in his life's senseless situation.

Has closed captioning but it is in black and white. Other copy is apparently also in color.

It is not Christmas until I have watched this movie. it gives you all the feels of the holidays and the story is as true today as it was then- when you have friends and family, you really are the richest person around!

'Tis the Season To Be Wary! 🌽⚾️ Your basic Capra-corn, this flick is mainly popular because it was in the public domain for a while, and widely broadcast on TV in the 70s around Christmas because it was free. So, it's part of many…

VERY GOOD 1947 b/w Capra film with excellent acting by both James Stewart (best I've seen from him) and Donna Reed (fun to see her in her mid 20's).

Growing up we watched this movie at least twice every season. I know I am blinded by nostalgia and cannot possibly see this movie's worth objectively but I don't care. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Glorified saccharine rose-tinted myth. Unfortunately, we all live in what if glum Potterville thanks to the Savings & Loan Crisis in the 1980s & 1990s compounded by 2009 global financial crisis on sub-prime mortgages & derivatives. Mr.…

You know, at first I thought that this 1947 picture was a heart-felt story about good, old George Bailey and how he was driven (through certain escalating circumstance) to the absolute brink of desperation on Xmas eve. But, I now…

This film has become a classic favorite for families every year at Christmas. It's not hard to see why. The story veers from heartwarming to heartbreaking and back again, with the story of George Bailey's life and the decisions he has had…

Believe me - This decidedly heavy-handed, Christianity-driven, tear-jerker (from 1947) is so loaded down with underlying religious propaganda that (depending on which side of the bible your "daily bread" is buttered on) it's either gonna…
