A major train derailment in Norway. Very dark.

This is such an interesting story. I love the main character, Hanne. The story has really captured the emotions of what it would be like to be trapped for several days with a murderer on the loose

This was the best out of the series. Loved the vivid picture of the cold, cold winter landscape. Very interesting character.

This book was very well written, but told in the voice of a bitter, negative character. The story unfolded like a police procedure drama, and it was engaging, but I would not read another book in this series because I found being inside…

(The eighth book in the Hanne Wilhelmsen series) I would have enjoyed book 8 in the Hanne Wilhelmsen series more if I had been able to read earlier mysteries in the series. Because of the pandemic, our county library system is largely…

I really disliked this novel, and quit about 3/4 of the way through. Perhaps it was the translation, but I found the writing very stilted and the characters quite stereotypical and difficult to care about. I don't think I'll bother with…

What happened to Superintendent Stubo and Johanne Vik. I really enjoyed these two characters, much more than Hanne Wilhelmsen. Are these two characters ever coming back??

This book just didn't hold my attention. Yes, they are snowed in, and yes, it is hard to think when you can't get a moment alone, but still, the characters should be engaging instead of stereotypes. If the author hadn't kept telling us…

The beginning was promising. Something like Agatha Christie in a contemporary setting. But it turned out all very boring, especially the ending. And in the course of the story created the impression that not only the characters of the…

First book I read from this Norwegian author. Good thriller, suspense. A bit like Agatha Christie. not too gory, not too much hanky panky. Good week end read.

A truly crap novel. Well written but with the most absurd situations, plots and characters. Truly a waste of time. There are just so many better authors out there.

Blind Goddess was better. 1222 interesting but really slow & repetitive to the point that I skimmed those parts. I felt there were several details avoided because she thought reader would be so caught up in the telling. Still consider…
