This premise has been done so many times; old burglars come out of retirement for one last job. Really Hollywood? Can we move on? This is all so boring...

The whole movie was boring. There is not a single interesting element.

Finally we can all agree. Very bad.bbb. note to self. When a film has no female characters survive beyond the first few minutes, consider it may be about men.

I liked it just to see these old guys act again and because some of the gags worked into the plot were very funny.

I checked this out because if Michael Cain & Jim Broadbent. Found it good sedative for sleep. Hard to understand dialogue.

Just find it hard to get into this movie. Never quite take off. Perhaps it's the old, tired theme.

The 2nd movie in two years about the robbery at Hatton Garden in London. Both are pretty bad although this one is a bit better solely because of the popularity and reputation of the cast.

From various news sources and wiki pages, the movie sticks pretty much to real people and events. Since the audacious 2015 Easter Weekend heist, "largest burglary in English legal history," is news to me, an engaging story to see the esteemed actors playing the burglars nicknamed by the media as "Mr Ginger, Mr Strong, Mr Montana, The Gent, The Tall Man and The Old Man". Now, how can one find such a true crime dull? Besides it is fun watching the reenactment of the elderly crooks' planing and doing their swansong job the old school way, and thieving the loot every chance they get.

Similar recent films:
The Old Man & the Gun - 2018. Redford ★★★
The Mule - 2018. Eastwood ★★★½
(Too bad that Terence Stamp in the 1999's The Limey ★★★★ is not in the cast of tough old men.)

Another movie: The Hatton Garden Job 2017
Non-fiction novel: “The Last Job 2019” by Dan Bilefsky that explores a famous London robbery -- Over Easter weekend 2015, a motley crew of six English thieves, several in their sixties and seventies, couldn't resist coming out of retirement for one last career-topping heist. Their target: the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit, in the heart of London's medieval diamond district.

One of the worst movies in quite some time. Heck, even the continuous Tiki Club brand of background music was annoying. But not as annoying as the worn out premise of a troupe of elderly ex-cons bumbling their way through one last job. There’s nothing endearing and quaint about this embarrassing hot mess. Michael Caine, you should be ashamed.
