they ruined everything
I do not like how the nazgul walk
nor do I like how the hobbit talk.
Classic case of over budget and out of time - hence they stop about 1/3 into the story.
Fast-forwarded through much of this. While it is fairly true to the original books, it stops before the end - disappointing - and the animation is the oddest mixed-bag of styles, which becomes very annoying after awhile. The pace is inconsistent as well. Unless you're a big fan of animation and want to view this because of some interest in what animation used to be like, give it a miss. Did make me want to see Peter Jackson's trilogy again, though. What a great story Tolkien wrote....
An epic tale and a massive undertaking to depict on screen. The attention to detail is perhaps a bit overwhelming, or just impressive. It's a great story coupled with a great musical score.
Is it awful or good
I saw most of this movie at a friends house and it was awesome and now I placed a hold on it and it is finally ready for pickup.
this movie is awesome
this movie is very good
Good movie. I certainly like Peter Jackson's version a lot better, but this film is very book acurate and good for the time it was made in. I do agree that kids probably can't watch this, but if you're a Tolkien/ LOTR fan( or a Ringer) then you would probably like this movie.
