The story was definitely as good as the movie.

I actually really enjoyed Breakfast At Tiffany's and the three short stories included. I think that Truman Capote has a truly lovely, lyrical way of writing. It seemed as if I was listening to Capote tell the story to me. After I finished Breakfast At Tiffany's, I had to really think at what the purpose of the story was - what was the theme or lesson? Was it just merely a story? I still wonder these things. However, Truman Capote's writing is much more dreamy and poetic-sounding compared to modern books I have read, which made reading it fun. I believe that this book is still a classic and always should be.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote was an okay book to read. It really wasn’t interesting to me at all, I found the book not my kind of stories to read. The book was about a girl named Holly Golightly in New York City living her life glamorously with young man who live in her apartment building watching her life and experiencing it with her as a friend. It was probably popular in the roaring twenties since that was all about parties and entertainment. Personally it wasn’t my favourite to read, maybe if I was older I would enjoy the book more, since it is all about freedom and glamorous life style. The movie is a classic to everyone and since the book was made first I thought it going to be way more interesting. It wasn’t really a book that I wanted to keep reading, I never really watched the movie but I know it’s a classic from others. I didn’t find the book relatable at all, like I said before probably if was older I would feel what she feel at that moment. I will probably re-read the book when I am older to relate to it more often. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great read for me. I don’t have any thoughts about this book other than I would read again when it is an appropriate time and right now I find it very uninteresting at this age of reading. I do recommend this book for older people who have went through their party and fun days and want to relate and reminisce.

I am a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn, so I decided to do a paper on her for my school. Of course, most of you know that Audrey Hepburn starred in Breakfast at Tiffany's, the movie adaption of this novel. (I loved the movie). In order to know more about the actual story, I decided to read the book.

Very impressed. First of all, I noticed that the movie dialogue and the book dialogue were virtually identical. It was as if I were reading the screenplay. The only thing left out was a lot of the swearing. And the, ahem, racy scenes.

A couple of other differences was that they really played down her role in the movie as a hooker, where as this part of her character was very prominent in the story. The other was that she was pregnant with Jose's "heir", as she calls the child. However, she ended up having a miscarriage.

This book was based off of the author's mother, Lillliemae.

I didn't really enjoy this book. Maybe I was expecting more of the movie, which was fabulous.
It is not really my type of story, I'm not a fan of the contemporary style novel.

Many have stated, Truman is the best author ever in the modern English language, artist is a better title. Borrow this one, meet Holly Golightly.
