Schine spins a charming tale of love, friendship, dogs and families in a tiny one-block-long community in the big city. You are in for a treat, a wonderfully urbane and fully human take on modern life.

In an upper west side neighborhood of NYC, the lives of several dog owners intersect.

I was suprised that I liked this book as much as I did because its more introspective than action packed, but it was really a lovely book! The intertwined stories of the characters really kept it interesting and descriptions of the city block and the park were great - really made you feel like you were there. Overall, highly recommended.

An exquisite book. I read at least 100 books a year and this is one of my favorites.
