A well constructed novel set in 1939 southern United States. Wonderful characters and settings with a reasonable pace to the narrative. Well worth reading.

Grandfather owned a Nash Ambassador...skookum vehicle for 1938...it was a joy travelling in the backseat of memories while reading Will Ferguson's stupendous novel and the great scams along the way...
Makes me proud being Canadian...
Will's pen etches a great story with characters you can taste!

So much fun to read that I struggled to even put it down! So many twists and turns about three cons in the era of jazz, pool and murder. Mr. Ferguson knows how to bring you into this exciting life!
