I read a few of the books and they are short and entertaining. This movie has a simple plot, but it's cute. The casting was well done; Emma Roberts is a good Nancy and Max Thieriot made a cute boyfriend for her. I also liked seeing the actresses they chose for Nancy's friends -- all very popular on Nickelodeon/ Disney Channel 5-10 years ago.

Carson Drew: Phone call. Long distance from Scotland. Something about the Loch Ness Monster and some missing diamonds.

Nancy Drew: Ned can I ask you a question?
Ned Nickerson: Mhm.
Nancy Drew: Can you tell when a girl looks at you and is thinking how much she likes you and is wondering if you like her and thinking how important it is for you to say how you feel before she says anything more about how she feels about you or anyone else they might be jealous of because she's already said how she feels how she's said in her own way?
Ned Nickerson: Uh, can you repeat the question?

Frightening or Intense Scenes: There are definitely some frightening and intense scenes in this movie (it is a mystery movie), when "ghosts" appear, when a bomb explodes, and when Nancy is captured by bad guys.

Other: Ned in the end kisses Nancy. Just for the people who disagree with that.
