Perry makes us like assassins and they are much nicer people than those who hire them.

My problem with this well-written and entertaining book, which occurs in other Perry novels, is the way the killer, murderer, or serial killer, just happens to come into existence, almost as if, or with strong inteference, that such is a given? Evidently, in Perry's universe, everyone has the potential to become an assassin? A real shortcoming after his excellent book, "Metzger's Dog."
