Enchanted was a great and hilarious movie that is great for families anytime. This movie is about a princess set in cartoon time that travels her way back into New York City living with real humans. She needs to become used to reality and so she bumps into this man who ends up taking her into his house in order to support her. He believes that she is not the brightest tool in the shed and she's completely naïve to the world around her. Eventually he discovers that she is from a cartoonland and she got to New York City by the means of magic. I enjoyed this movie because it was funny and it was serious at the same time! It was cool to see how the princess got back to her own village but it was also nerve-wracking at times because you didn't know what was going to happen next. I would rate this movie a 4/5.

Twisted stories are my favorite types of stories. This movie is awesome. I love Amy Adams as a princess. She's so perfect. James Marsden makes a perfect prince. Charming and funny. Patrick Dempsey is cool too although I couldn't really imagine any other person as Robert. Every scene makes you want to laugh cry or just have fun. I wish all movies were like this. But if they were there would be not as much variety. So all in all this movie is one of my favorites.

This is pretty good but a tiny bit too lovey-dovey for my taste. The music is pretty good, though. I don't think this would be very appropriate for young children though due to mature scenes and topic.

Disney pokes fun at its own cutesy reputation in this playful satire on the fairytale formula. The story concerns Giselle, a cartoon maiden in the animated land of Andalasia, who is about to marry Prince Edward, her one true love. Edward’s wicked stepmother meanwhile, the evil sorceress Queen Narissa, schemes to block the marriage in order to keep the throne for herself. To this end she banishes Giselle to the world of reality, namely New York City, where the winsome naïf must contend with muggers, freaks, and a cynical population that no longer believes in happily ever after. It isn’t long before Giselle becomes entangled in the lives of a skeptical divorcee, his 8-year old daughter and his jealous fiancée; but when Prince Edward and his little chipmunk sidekick come looking for her things go from simply confusing to complete pandemonium... Despite the sheer absurdity of the movie’s premise there is a seductive quality to the comical proceedings that caught me off guard and had me smiling like a kid. The musical numbers are bright and lively, the allusions to Snow White and Cinderella are cleverly done, and the CGI effects are amazing....rats and cockroaches have never looked so darn cute! And yes, there is a very happy ending for all. Enchanted doesn’t try to be anything than what it is, a light and fluffy little treat. It succeeds admirably.

This movie is another of Disney's overlooked masterpieces. It's silly, it's predictable, and it's childish, but that's part of the magic. Giselle is a great character who has a lot to teach us about giving up our cynicism and remembering how to put a little magic into everything we do. The animation is beautiful and the music is super catchy. This will always be a favorite, especially for a princess lover (like me!).

Asking: Should I watch this movie? Is it good? Does it have swearing or lots of violence? Is it super sappy?
(if you will answer me, put @780826 at the top of your answer.)
Thanks!!!

Enchanted was amazing! I couldn't see all of it, but it was amazing. I did NOT like Giselle, but I loved Queen Narrisa and Prince Edward. I like wierd charachters. I think this is a must see for movies.@780826: This is good. No swearing, a scary dragon gets killed, and there is one scene where Giselle had only a bathtowel around her private parts, but otherwise, O.K.

Robert: [off Giselle's look] What?
Giselle: This is a very nice place.
Robert: Yeah?
Giselle: And we're eating dinner.
Robert: Yeah.
Giselle: [happily] This is a date!
Robert: Yeah!
[happy then realizing his mistake]
Robert: No! No. No, no, no, no. We're just, um, we're just friends.

Morgan Philip: Remember, when you go out not to put too much makeup otherwise the boys will get the wrong idea and you know how they are...
[off Giselle's wide-eyed look]
Morgan Philip: They're only after one thing.
Giselle: What's that?
Morgan Philip: [laughs] I don't know. Nobody will tell me.

Robert: I don't know. It's just that... it's like you escaped from a Hallmark card or something.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: in one scene the evil queen casts a spell that changes her into a gigantic dragon. younger viewers might find this a little terrifying. but we should remind them that things like dragons and magic don't actually exist.
