My rating didn't register--1/2 star (is that the lowest?) ------Ooof... Wow, how did this happen? First of all, Harvard aint what it’s... Almost all colleges are from another world of intel, I mean, ‘thinking’. Other than arts or maybe some stuff I never knew about while there, academia is only good to teach one about academia; a valuable thing to know living in a ‘strange and backward hell-hole’. The only reason for a creative thinking person to live in this ‘matrix-hell’ is to jump sets and make the ‘Great Work’. Metaphysically this is a functional method—start here and LEAVE; creating the new world as you go. --- I say all this because James Toback went to Harvard and won’t let any one forget it. I’ve heard him talk about his time there with acid et al many times and it was entertaining. This movie is not. AWFUL. The worst. He wrote/directed and there can be no one else to blame. Except Adrian Grenier who can’t act and isn’t Tom Cruise. He, along w/every one except Kevin Dillon and Jeremy Piven (whose show it should have been) ruined “Entourage”. -– Back to a talented guy, Toback, the stalking sex-man of off-Hollywood. Stories abound about him, but his other movies I’ve seen are very good: “Fingers”, “The Gambler”, “The Beat That My Heart Skipped”, “Two Girls And A Guy”, and 2 docs, “Tyson” and “Black And White”. This one was a total dud, and I mean horrible. NOTHING good going on here. I can’t even guess what happened, he’s always said he doesn’t do a movie unless he has total control.........
