The market town of Tawrbrach is shocked by the accidental death of Rhonwen Spencer Griffith, rich widow & leading light of the Operatic Society. Her son Elwyn dies soon after, apparently from natural causes. Chief Inspector Merlin Parry thinks differently when he receives a copy of a memo Elwyn sent demanding money from three members of the Operatic Society for his mother's secret, explicit diaries. What really happened at "Madam" Rhonwen's parties? Why is the rector so concerned about the diaries & why didn't Elwyn's wife know they existed?
