Owl-eyed and terrified, Warren Snyder occupied an armchair in his living room. He sat stiff, erect, his hands upturned in his lap. Now and then his right hand shook. His mouth hung slightly open, and his lower lip trembled almost continuously.

I also really enjoyed the original trilogy, but I feel like the fifth book was a more fitting end to wrap things up entirely. Not as good as the first three, but were definitely for those who didn't like the loose ends at the end of book 3. Feel sorry for Johnny Depp - Jocko really doesn't like him!

It's nice that arrogance doesn't get to win the game and humanity still has a place in the world. Victor was a truly evil character. I enjoyed this whole "Frankenstein" series and look forward to whatever Koontz has planned for us in the future
