As I was reading the trilogy I had to suspend common sense. So I had to just grab Caution and throw them down a flight of stairs and that's how I made it through. The one thing that really bugged me was that 1/5 of the book was devoted to just ONE CHARACTER TALKING! TWO WHOLE CHAPTERS! About 60 pages. She could have used that time to explore the kingdom or more of the castle or more of the training Beauty had to go through.
All in all, it was an okay read for my first novel by this author.
well, that's 10 min. of my life I'll never get back. Ten minutes of reading was all it took to make me gag. What the heck does a 18yr old & 15yr old know about anything? Let alone sex!
50 Shades was at least tolerable. This book was not even worth the effort it took to go to the Library to retrieve it!
Reading the comments I did have to laugh, this book and the ones following are not for everyone and I am betting that the ones who hated it and found it degrading are vanila (if you don't know what that is, stick with 50shades) This book is fictional and only for entertainments purposes. Yes there are things in this book I would never let done to me but that is what safe words are for. I happened to love this book
I was very curious when I started and it held my interest so much that I finished in 1 day. If 50 Shades of Grey was midly interesting than this will blow you away. Happy reading!

Unrealistic, repetitive sex, written by a woman, with a male perspective.

one of my all time favorite books and series, but definitely not for everyone!! i read these books very young, an fell in love with the honesty in them. definitely S&M based and if that bothers you then i would really suggest that you not read these books. It is intense, and graphic in the traditional Anne Rice style. and i do mean GRAPHIC. but if you're open to it, it can be a very intense and eye-opening read, and will definitely make you rethink how you evaluate other people's relationships and the importance of mutual desires
or you could just read it and go for the ride :)

Not a great book. I thought it would be on the order of Shades of Gray but it was definitely not. I was very disappointed and thought the part I did read was degrading to women. I didn't even want to finish it. Don't recommend this one.
I was really excited to read this and now I'm wondering why I even stuck with it. I didn't enjoy this book at all! The things that were done to the people in the book were appalling and I don't think I will be reading the other 2 books of this trilogy. I don't think I will be reading any more Anne Rice for that matter. I haven't been impressed by her work.
