A #1 New York Times Bestselling AuthorThe shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park's ice-skating rink. The victims were killed at random with a tactical laser rifle fired by a sniper, who could have been miles away. I have read every book in the In Death series and have loved them all. The same goes for this book. Eve and her department try to stop the assassins they continue to kill groups of people. While Eve, Peabody, Rourke and the team all try to find their nest, they feel as if they are running out of time. This story will keep your interest right to the very end.

Normally I am not bothered by events in a book and how they relate to real life events. But I will be honest and say I had a hard time reading this one because it was about snipers and mass shootings and that's been so prevalent in the news recently. That being said I still enjoyed the book and I guess you could say that my disturbance with the book just proves how well JD Robb wrote it.

I loved each of the In Death Series books. I hope this series never comes to an end.

I have read most of the "In Death" series" and have watched them slowly decline. While this one has one of the better plots, sadly it suffers , as did the previous book, from just plain poor writing. Incomplete sentences, unfathomable grammar, and unrelated references. I know that dialogue is not always perfect, but that is spoken not written. This leaves me again feeling that Roberts
(Robb) did not write this, and used associate or ghost writers, in the rush to get it to market. Also, there seems to be more gratuitous profanity than ever, especially from Dallas.

Strictly average as these go - lacked heart. Seemed like she wrote it in a rush for a deadline and the regular characters were phoned in. Very disappointing after the excellent Brotherhood in Death.
