I really loved this series and I started adding more to it in my head and even changing some of the scenes. This book was honestly the one that got me into writing and I will always remember it.

I finished this book within 24 hours. It was pretty fast-paced, kept my attention, and left me eager for even more scenes with Derek and Chloe. They clash every once in a while but in a way that I feel they'll end up together, most definitely.
Stuck in the Edison Groups demented version of a 'safe haven', Chloe begins to learn some of the deep and dark secrets not only surrounding her and the friends she's made, but also about Lyle House's true purpose. Her life is in danger and she needs out as soon as possible so she can find the boys before Davidoff does. She can't trust anyone, save the disbelieving ghost of her old roommate, so she smiles at Rae, cozies up to Aunt Lauren, and ignores the trapped demon that speaks to her as she comes up with a plan. It's now or never. Life or death (and possibly, resurrection). And the only way to survive is to take everything step, by terrifying step.

Honestly, there's really not much of a story. The guys find out some history about themselves and the Edison group but mostly, they're just running around one place to next trying to get to this one guy who'll help them. Kinda disappointed tbh because I was hoping for some major supernatural power training and exercise. Oh! and the only 'fighting with zombies' going on in this book is in Chloe's mind which was a total bummer.

The only reason I'm giving this book a two star rating is 1)I actually finished it and 2)I enjoyed Derek and Chloe scenes. They at least had a bit of a conflict which they resolved and came out of it better

It is a really good read, but the only reason I didn't give it a five star was because I wished that there would be some kind of relationship development with Chloe between Derek or Simon, While they were on the journey. Other than that, I really loved the characters and their personalities it was really well written.

This book is amazing. I'm only in grade 5 this year and I finished it in a couple hours. Its gory and brutal. But it keeps you intrigued. I can't wait to read book 3.

A fantastic sequel! I devoured this book in less than two days! I loved the narration choices, the characters have depth and are wonderfully alive, and I love the direction that the author is going!

If you had met me a few weeks ago, you probably would have described me as an average teenage girl—someone normal. Now my life has changed forever and I’m as far away from normal as it gets. I’m a living science experiment—not only can I see ghosts, but I can raise the dead without even trying. Trust me, that is not a power you want to have. Ever. I’m running for my life with three of my supernatural friends and we have to find someone who can help us gain our freedom back before the Edison Group finds us first. Or die trying.
