This is the second novel in the Silverwing series, that chronicles the story of the bat Shade, after he has joined with his colony again. Where they are now seems like a paradise with many bugs and no owls, however quickly it is revealed that the humans are plotting something evil and that the bats are not as safe as they once felt. This fascinating story plays on the secret lives of animals and the life they live from their own perspective. The series is interesting and creative, with many eery and suspenseful plot points. I would rate this book 4/5 stars, and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of this series and is interested in eery stories. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library Sunwing is the sequel to Silverwing and it follows Shade on a new quest to find his father. And it is indeed a quest, Shade must undergo grueling hardships and fight for his life more then once all due to the cruelty of others. But, he forges alliances and makes new friends as his quest becomes the most important thing he’ll ever undergo. Once again Kenneth Oppel shows us a different view of the world and sucks us into a story which is as enjoyable as the last. Sunwing, just like its predecessor is a great story for people of all ages and especially those of younger ages. Overall, a fun and enjoyable read. - @Kuhaica of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
