I absolutely adored Cronin's Diary of a Worm. This book is the next in the series and follows the same concept. Spider is friends with fly as well as worm. He tells factoids about his life that are laced with humor as well as quips about his grandpa's exciting life. Again, it is fun to see life from an insect's perspective. This book doesn't pull quite the punch that Diary of a Worm did, but it is still great fun and an exciting early reader for children. The illustrations are beautiful and quirky. I enjoyed looking at all the details of spider's world. I look forward to reading the next one: Diary of a Fly. I would recommend this for kindergarten or first grade and up.
