This is going to be a mixed review. I did enjoy this book overall, but had two complaints. The book has several subplots which take place centuries apart. It is kind of jarring because the chapters seem disconnected and you get the impression you are reading several books that were knit together. Of course, he finally pulls it together at the end, but I hated switching gears like that (maybe that's why there are two authors; each did different parts). Also, the major ending (there are things that happen after the ending, but they don't add much value) is totally non-believable. I don't want to give anything away, but even fiction should be half-way believable. I didn't think the book was bad, but there are better books in this genre.
