I Know How She Does It

How Successful Women Make the Most of Their Time

I really enjoyed this audiobook, and I recommend it highly, but first a disclaimer: I think this book's design and title make it seem like a very business-focused, productivity book, but that is misleading. It's actually a very gentle, kind book about appreciating your life and focusing on good moments and thinking about the stories we tell ourselves and others. It's a book about considering how we spend out time--at work, at home, and for ourselves--and how we can have the lives we want--not just the lives we fall into and end up feeling pulled in all directions. I also really appreciated how she doesn't recommend pulling back from work for working moms, but rather finding a way for work to fit into one's life more successfully. A very hopeful, refreshing book, that encourages us to trade off some email/facebook/picking up toys time and instead use that time for berry picking, reading, and other activities that bring us joy.
